About
Yonghoon Jeong is a lecturer in the Department of Cyber Science at the Republic of Korea Naval Academy, where he is completing his mandatory military service as an officer in the Republic of Korea Navy. Specializing in wireless communication systems and the physical layer of low-power wide-area networks, particularly LoRa, his research explores energy-efficient underwater communication systems designed to address limited bandwidth, long propagation delays, severe attenuation, Doppler effects, and highly variable channel conditions. His goal is to enable reliable, low-power connectivity for ocean sensing, climate monitoring, and underwater Internet-of-Things applications.
